If You Want to Build Muscle but Can’t Afford a Gym Membership

If you want to build muscle but can’t afford a gym membership I have a great solution to your problem. With a minimal amount of equipment and a maximum of effort, you can build muscle without working out at all. The solution is so simple; our ancestors did it without expensive gyms or exercise equipment. The answer to your problem is camping.
The supplies that you need are two buckets, axe, matches, tent, sleeping bag, food and a clearing in the woods by a river or pond. Starting off, you will hike to a suitable location, building your quads and gluteal muscles. If the hike is uphill, you will also work your calf muscles. Your back muscles will be strengthened by the huge amount of weight that you are carrying on your back. Your neck and shoulder muscles will also get a work out. If you walk at a brisk pace, you can combine building muscle with a cardio workout as well. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
Once you reach your destination, your first chore will be to trek down to the water with your buckets and bring them up, filled with water, to your campsite. If you brought a larger holding tank, you can make several trips. The more trips that you make, the more you will be building muscle mass. Remember to fill both buckets evenly and always carry one in each hand for balance.
After bringing the water form the river, you can then set up your tent and sleeping arrangements. Setting up camp requires bending and stretching. Stretching your muscles will provide some relief from the workout you have received. The bending from setting up the camping equipment will build your stomach and abdominal muscles.
Next to do is chopping the firewood. First go out into the woods and look for logs and kindling. You must look for the largest logs that you can lift. Remember to lift at the knees. Your goal is to build muscle, not injure yourself.
Once the fire is built, you can rest a bit and cook dinner. If you did not bring food then you must forage for nuts, berries, small animals or fish. By the time dinner has been eaten, you will want to climb into the tent and sleep.
Day two of your camping adventure, you will most likely be sore, so stretching is the order of the day. Follow this by swimming or hiking to work the muscles, but not too much. Your workout routine should alternate these two schedules. One day should be reserved for chopping wood and carrying water and the next for swimming and hiking.
This workout routine will build muscle and get you into great shape in no time. This routine can be varied to your own lifestyle for better ease. Your equipment may vary as well; however, camping should not be easy. It should be hard work if you want to build muscle but it can also be an enjoyable adventure too.
